Hey, My name is Tyler and im 16 years old. I have used photoshop and a mix of dreamweaver and notepad to create this site for my portfolio. Please note: it's a dummie site, as far as I know thats not a real company.

All the code and art was created by me except three stock photo's (all of which were butchered)

http://tylmac10.hollosite.com

What do you think? Please rate as is.... i don't need anything sugar coated. if its bad, or a 1 out of 10; let me know.

I think it looks pretty nice, and l give it a 4 out of 5.

--------------
Things I Like:
I like how clean it is, and must say that it looks much better than at least 70 percent of any website out there.

I really like the background you've added to the content area, really makes it pop, and doesn't overpower or make it difficult to read. Great work on that.

The navigation is big, easy to read, and looks very professional. A+ on that.

--------------
The things l don't like so much:
The "news" area is a little plain, maybe some beveled content dividers (1 pixel white line, and a 1 pixel 30% black line under that) between each one l mean, would help break that up a bit and make it flow with the rest of the page a little better.

And though the logo is nice looking don't get me wrong, l just don't think it melds in with this particular layout so good.

--------------
Suggestions for improvement:

A simple footer, maybe using the same colors and height that your navigation is, with text links aligned to the right (simple basic Verdana text, nothing fancy). and a copyright statment.

Maybe instead of just one "newest picture" make three of them, stacked vertically and about 30% of the size that the current "newest picture" is so that area of the site doesn't look as "empty".

All in all a great job here, keep up the good work and thanks so much for posting!

I like the layout, it looks a lot like the Portfolio layout. The thing I don't like are the fonts on the header, a little too much bevel for me and you used 3 pretty contrasting ones. I don't think the logo fits the design either.

Good job though over all!

Yea, that tutorial was the basis that I started with. I really liked the way that it was layed out. I didn't, however, follow the tutorial lol. Just the picture at the beginning.

There is the second copy. I changed the color sceme so that it wasn't such a copy of that tutorial. It still definatly looks like it though.

I think it's a nice layout! I played with that same tut and really like it. So I say keep it although I don't know if it's allowed.
