In the planet tutorial does anyone know how he made the stars? And also how do make the font look cool like that? thank you

Hi I don't know exactly how he did it but I just made a new layer and then radial blurred some brush dots on zoom in radial blurr on 20 somthing intencity. and for a Sun if you want one jus use a big brush and make a adjustment layer for it and make it orangish red. Hope it helps. Smile

You could apply some noise and mess with the levels.

I would agree with X but instead of levels try Threshold. It's under Image > Adjustments menu.
Just push the white arrow to the left until you get the effect you want.

I don't know how I missed those tuts I've gone through everyone I think. I do kinda like the threshold method if you want only a few stars or many stars, it gives you some control.
