Transparent GIF Guide

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a transparent image, by using photoshop's powerful utilities. This tutorial is intended for relatively new users of photoshop, and is not intended for use by professional, or advanced level users. This is a basic tutorial, covering a basic fundamental technique that most or all photoshop users will eventually know one day.

This tutorial was requested by one of our users, and l've seen it asked a few other places on the board as well, so l decided to write up a quick tutorial on it.

Yeah, if you post it in here as a new thread with the title "Tutorial: title_here" with the images and want not that'll be great. When l get more time, l'll reformat the tutorials posted here on Tutorial Utopia, and integrate them into the site as well (the ones that are decent in quality and original that is).

Regards,

Nice job Jeff! I always forget what I'm doing because I don't do .gif's that often but I'm sure I will be doing a lot more.
It's a good reference.

Thanks,

Pete

thanks guys...
I know it's a very basic technique, that most people who have been using photoshop for awhile already know, but l've seen it asked at least 3 times in the last couple months and figured "what the hey" might as well make a tut that l can refer people to...

In any event, this is probably the 1st thing anyone who starts learning photoshop learns... so it's a great starting point.
