well, first of all you should gewt the layout a bit larger... it's right now only one box, and if you added some more it'd look great.
second, you should check the coding (when i pressed forum i got to your pics), but i don't know how to do this though... for the first time this is a great start though, so don't be to bothered

not bad actually.... all you need is a more detail..... try using other ophotoshop stuff apart from gradient... make it look more realistic... its looks like cartoons at the moment... but still is nice... keep up the good work

Good start, you have a technical mind which is what is needed so just keep going.

Well here is my thoughts.

First off you are maken a good start, but the one major thing that i think u should do is bevel ur lines a little to make them look more round and 3d looking. Also, when maken ur main content box whenever u make it, just make it a rectangle and and some bevel and curve to it. This way ur layout is not to over crowded.
