Please HELP!!!!!- website query

Hello all!,
This is my first post and request, so pardon my vagueness cause I'm a newbie.

Now I know this might be a big ask, but if anyone is game or has the time to write a tutorial on how to create a flash website from scratch, I'd appreciate it so much! I was inspired to try and learn how to create a flash site after visiting here http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/5553.html, however .....if that's not possible, I was wondering, after you have deigned your website template in photoshop, how do you import it into dreamweaver and add text etc?,

I would if I new how to do that. Thats sort of a big step going from "newbie" to making that. First you would have to be able to make all those elements in Photoshop. Just that takes some time. then making it all in flash takes a while to. For some good flash tutorials visit [link]

Other then that, you need to learn the basics before you even think about making something like that.

Thanks! for the reply, I have been using photoshop for a few years and theres so much to learn, thanks for the link, however I am new to flash and dreamweaver, I wondered how photoshop ties in with it if it can??, nice portfolio!

Well if you know Photoshop and can create stuff like that then you are off to a good start. I am not sure if they even used dreamweaver in that. It might be all Flash. But don't quote me because I hate Dreamweaver and am very new to Flash.

I like the orange/navy/grey etc "solo themes" web design template you made-sleek look!- I am a bit partial to the game of counterstrike though:P I was pretty decent for a girl at that game Lol:P!

Thanks alot. I design all those templates and then give them to solothemes. Hence most of them have "solothemes" on the top. Then he codes them and puts them up for download. You could download and use one of them and not have to do all this dreamweaver and Flash stuff.

Register on solothemes.com

Then go to "Themes" on the naviagion bar.

Download any theme of your choice. Mine say X by the author. Here is a direct link to the orange one.

Some of the titles might not be what you want but I can easily change them for you so just ask. I just realized There isn't even navigation. so I could change one of the side content box titles to navigation.

There is a new one coming soon. Its the one I just posted in the "Site Check" forum.

I am going to make a tutorial on how to slice and code a header and naviation very soon.Although it doesnt use Dreamweaver.

Even though thats a quick solution that not going to teech you much.

Ok first that site looks nice but the structure and coding is horrible.

Believe it or not just with a little flash knowledge that site wouldnt be hard to make at all.

After a ton of thought Ive decided to do a tutorial on building a flash site, it might not be for a few days or so till I post as its going to take awhile to do.

Now this tutorial wont be super cut down it will be the basics on creating websites.

If I went into how to use css and html code and using a tons of action script to cut down the size it be more then a 10 hour tutorial. But what I will do is after your done youll have the tool to feel confident it trying to creatye a pretty nice flash site and hopefully look into more design with flash.

Also if the contest is still on this will be my entre into it.

thanks for stopping in!

This isn't really something that you could just "write a tutorial" on... it'd be more like a book Wink

But sounds like BlUI is going to help us all out with some basics! That'd be great man, l can't wait to see this!

Also in the future l may possibly launch a flash tutorial site, covering this type of stuff (IE modular flash sites). And in the event l do this (launch the site) l will be writing the "indepth" full scale tutorial that would take 10 hours.

Now about the tut Im writing Im starting it tonight so keep yours open for it to come!

Ahh gracias for the warm welcome~!,A great big thanks for the upcoming tut, even though it may be about the basics etc, it'd be so helpful, I truly am greateful! I forgot to mention before, I love this site's layout, whoever did it (I'm assuming jeff?, correct me if I'm wrong) gets a virtual hi 5 ! Lol, nice sig BluI- how'd you get the animation at the bottom?, Also was wondering where I could get some cool filters?

Most site use 88x31 Affilation buttons. PSforce has a couple on the contact page. The button is just linked to PSforce so when someone clicks it they get directed to here.
